This message appears when Osortoo cannot load your Instagram posts.
In most cases, this happens because the Facebook Page linked to your Instagram account was not selected during the connection process. Instagram never loads posts unless the correct Facebook Page is selected first.
Other factors can also cause empty or missing posts. The sections below explain each possible cause and how to fix them.
1. The Facebook Page linked to your Instagram was not selected (MOST COMMON)
Instagram posts can only be accessed through Facebook’s API.
If you skip the Facebook Page selection, Osortoo cannot identify your Instagram account or load your posts.
Why this happens
During login, Facebook shows a list of Pages you manage.
If you don’t select the Facebook Page that is linked to your Instagram account, Instagram does not activate, and posts do not appear.
How to fix it
- Log out of Facebook
- Log back in through Osortoo
- When Facebook asks you to choose Pages, select the Page connected to your Instagram Professional account
- After selecting the Page, select the Instagram account linked to it
Once the Page–Instagram connection is approved, posts will appear correctly.
2. Your Instagram Account is not a Professional Account
Instagram posts only appear if the account is set to:
- Business
- Creator
Personal accounts cannot load posts through Osortoo.
How to check
Instagram → Settings → Account
If you see “Switch to Professional Account”, your account is still personal.
Switch to Professional, then reconnect.
3. Your Instagram account is not connected to a Facebook Page
Even if your Instagram account is Professional, it must be linked to a Facebook Page.
If no Page is linked, Instagram will show zero posts.
How to verify
Instagram → Settings → Account → Sharing to Other Apps → Facebook
Make sure a Facebook Page is selected (NOT your personal profile).
If nothing is linked, choose a Page and reconnect.
4. You selected the wrong Facebook Page
Many users manage multiple Pages.
If you select a different Page (one NOT connected to your Instagram), Instagram will show no posts.
Check your linked Page
Go to Instagram → Settings → Account → Sharing to Other Apps
Confirm which Page is linked.
Make sure you select that exact Page during the Facebook login flow.
5. You do not have Admin Rights on the Facebook Page
Instagram posts will not load if your Facebook role is not Admin.
Only Admins can access:
- Instagram connections
- comment permissions
- post imports
How to verify
Facebook Page → Settings → Page Roles
Check that your profile is listed as Admin.
If not, ask the Page owner to update your role.
6. Your Instagram posts are not eligible
Some types of posts cannot be imported into Osortoo.
Osortoo can load:
- Public feed posts (single image, carousel, video)
Osortoo cannot load:
- Stories
- Reels (depending on API rules)
- Ads (Boosted posts are allowed, ads-only posts are not)
- Private or restricted posts
- Posts with country or age restrictions
If the post does not qualify, Instagram will show an empty list.
7. Posts were published recently (API Delay)
Instagram sometimes takes a few minutes to register new posts in its API.
If your post is very new, wait 2–5 minutes and try again.
8. Your Instagram or Facebook session expired
Expired sessions cause incomplete permissions, resulting in missing posts.
Fix
- Log out of Facebook
- Log out of Instagram
- Close your browser
- Log in again
- Reconnect in Osortoo
9. Facebook permissions were denied or removed
If you removed Osortoo from Facebook Business Integrations, Instagram access gets blocked.
To fix this
- Go to facebook.com/settings
- Open Business Integrations
- Remove Osortoo
- Return to Osortoo
- Reconnect and accept all permissions
This resets the connection and restores post visibility.
10. Browser issues
Extensions, blockers or cookie restrictions can prevent Instagram posts from loading.
Try:
- enabling cookies
- allowing pop-ups
- disabling ad blockers and VPNs
- using an incognito window
- trying Chrome or Firefox
If posts appear in another browser, the issue is local to your original browser.
