Your payment may fail for several reasons related to your bank, your card, or the payment gateway. Osortoo alerts you when a payment cannot be processed and gives you time to resolve the issue before your plan is affected.
The points below explain why payments fail and how to resolve the problem.
1. Your card Expired
An expired card is one of the most common causes of payment failure.
How to fix
Update your card details in your Billing section and try again.
2. Insufficient Funds
Your bank may reject the transaction if the balance is too low.
How to fix
Add funds to your account and retry the payment.
3. Your bank blocked the transaction
Banks sometimes block online or recurring payments for security reasons.
How to fix
Contact your bank and confirm that the transaction is legitimate.
Ask them to allow future charges from Osortoo.
4. Incorrect card details
A typo in your card number, expiration date, or CVC code can cause a failure.
How to fix
Re-enter your card information carefully and save the update.
5. Your card does not allow International or online payments
Some cards restrict online, international, or subscription transactions.
How to fix
Ask your bank to enable:
- online payments
- recurring payments
- international transactions
Or use a different card.
6. Your card has reached its usage limit
Credit or debit cards can have daily or monthly transaction limits.
Your bank may decline the charge if the limit is reached.
How to fix
Request a temporary limit increase or wait for the limit to reset.
7. Your payment provider blocked the charge
Some payment services (PayPal, Revolut, etc.) may block transactions if they detect unusual activity.
How to fix
Verify your account on the payment provider’s platform and retry the payment.
8. Temporary gateway or network error
A temporary connection issue between your bank and the payment gateway can cause a failed transaction.
What to do
Wait a few minutes and try again.
9. Your billing information is outdated
If your billing address does not match your bank’s records, the transaction may fail.
How to fix
Update your billing address in your Osortoo Billing section.
10. Your card type is not supported
Some prepaid or virtual cards may not support recurring payments.
How to fix
Use a supported credit or debit card.
