Osortoo helps you collect participants and pick winners, but verifying whether a winner followed all the giveaway rules still requires a manual check on your side.
Each social platform (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) provides different levels of access, so Osortoo cannot automatically verify actions such as following, liking, or sharing.

The steps below explain how to verify that your winner is eligible according to your contest rules.

1. Check the winner’s comment

Start by reviewing the winner’s comment on the original post.
Verify that the comment meets your contest requirements:

• correct number of mentions
• required keywords or hashtags
• proper answer (if a question was asked)
• no duplicated or spam content

This is the first and easiest verification.

2. Verify mentions (Instagram and Facebook)

If your giveaway rule requires tagging friends, check the winner’s comment directly on the platform:

• confirm the number of tagged accounts
• ensure the tags are real accounts
• confirm that tags are visible and active

Osortoo filters based on text and structure, but final verification should be done on the post.

3. Check if the winner follows your account

You can manually check this on each platform:

Instagram

1. Go to the winner’s Instagram profile
2. Tap Following
3. Search your account’s name
4. Confirm if they follow you

Facebook

1. Visit the winner’s profile
2. Check if they follow or like your Page
   (Visibility depends on their privacy settings)

YouTube

1. YouTube no longer shows public subscriber lists unless users choose to display them
2. If your giveaway rules require “Subscribe,” ask the winner to confirm with a screenshot

Because of privacy policies, Osortoo cannot check follow/subscription actions automatically.

4. Verify likes or reactions on the giveaway post

Visit your giveaway post and check if the winner:

• liked the post (Instagram / Facebook)
• reacted to the post (Facebook)

This check must be done manually due to platform restrictions.

5. Check story shares (Instagram / Facebook)

If your giveaway requires sharing to a story:

• ask the participant to send a screenshot as proof
• story shares expire after 24 hours, so confirmation from participants is common

Osortoo cannot verify story shares because platforms do not provide access to them.

6. Check multiple-entry rules (optional)

If your contest allows multiple entries:

• one comment = one entry
• tagging different people = multiple entries
• posting on different platforms = extra chances

Make sure the winner respected your rules for valid extra entries.

Osortoo makes it easy to export the full list for manual review.

7. If the winner does not meet the rules

If the winner is not eligible:

• add the user to your Blacklist in Osortoo
• use the Re-draw option to pick another winner
• continue verifying until you find an eligible winner

This ensures fair and transparent results.
