Osortoo provides several filters to help you manage the participant list and ensure your giveaway rules are respected.
These filters work for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and mixed-platform giveaways, depending on the data allowed by each platform.
Below are all the filters available and how each one works.
1. Remove duplicate users
This filter removes repeated entries from the same user.
If a participant comments multiple times, Osortoo can count them as one valid entry.
Useful when your giveaway rules state:
- “1 comment = 1 entry”
- “One participation per person”
2. Minimum number of mentions
This filter checks how many people were tagged inside each comment.
Examples:
- Tag 1 friend
- Tag 2 friends
- Tag 3 friends
Only comments that contain the required number of mentions remain in the eligible list.
Works on Instagram and Facebook, depending on the comment structure.
3. Keyword include filter
You can require comments to contain specific keywords or phrases.
Examples:
- “Write your favorite product”
- “Comment your city”
Only comments that include the required keywords stay in the list.
4. Keyword exclude filter
You can remove comments containing unwanted words.
Useful to:
- remove spam
- exclude bots
- filter inappropriate words
- enforce rules about what the comment must NOT contain
5. Blacklist specific users
You can manually exclude users who:
- did not follow the rules
- posted inappropriate comments
- were selected as winners in the past
- must not participate in the draw
Blacklist entries are removed from the participant pool.
6. Filter by comment date or time (when available)
Some giveaways have start and end times.
This filter removes comments posted:
- before the giveaway started
- after it ended
- outside the allowed time window
This ensures only eligible comments are imported.
7. Remove comments without text
Some comments contain only:
- emojis
- empty tags
- blank content
This filter removes comments that do not contain any meaningful text.
Useful when your rule requires a real answer.
8. Unique user filter (strict mode)
This mode combines duplicate removal with stricter validation.
It removes:
- repeated comments
- repetitive patterns
- bot-like entries
Only one clean entry per user remains.
9. Platform-specific filters
Depending on the platform, Osortoo may apply additional checks:
- tag count
- minimum mentions
- removing restricted comments (API-based)
- text-based rules
- removing comments from hidden or banned users
YouTube
- only public comment retrieval
- exclusion of held-for-review comments
10. Multi-platform filtering
For mixed giveaways (Facebook + Instagram + YouTube + manual entries), filters apply to all imported participants.
Examples:
- remove duplicates per platform
- keyword filtering across all comments
- blacklist users from any platform
- date/time filtering where applicable
Osortoo keeps platform identities separate, so “@alex_01” from Instagram does not conflict with “Alex Jordan” from a Facebook entry.
