Osortoo allows you to re-draw winners if the original winner does not meet your giveaway rules, does not respond, or was selected by mistake. The re-draw process is simple and uses the same eligible participant list you defined with your filters.
Follow the steps below to re-draw one or more winners.
1. Open your giveaway project
Log into your Osortoo account and open the giveaway where you want to re-draw a winner.
Your previous draw results and participant list will appear.
2. Review your filters
Before re-drawing, check that your giveaway filters are still correct:
- remove duplicates
- minimum mentions
- keyword filters
- blacklist/exclusion
- time/date filters (when available)
If you want to apply new rules or remove old ones, update your filters before you re-draw.
The re-draw will apply the filters exactly as configured.
3. Remove the previous winner (optional)
If the original winner is not eligible or cannot be selected again, add them to your blacklist or exclude them manually.
This guarantees they will not appear in the new draw.
If you want to keep them in the pool, you can leave them as-is.
4. Click “Re-draw” or “Pick Winner Again”
Inside your giveaway results page, click the button to run a new draw.
Osortoo will:
- shuffle the eligible participants
- randomly select a new winner
- generate a new result animation (with paid plans)
- keep a record of the new selection
The new winner appears immediately on your screen.
5. Create backup winners (optional)
If you need multiple chances, you can generate backup winners during the re-draw.
These backup winners can be used later if the newly selected winner is not valid.
6. Save or download the new results
You can:
- save the new winner inside your project
- download the draw animation (paid plans)
- export the list of participants
- keep both original and re-drawn winner logs
This helps maintain transparency.
7. Announce the new winner
Copy and paste the new winner’s username on your social media post.
Some hosts also publish the re-draw video for clarity and fairness.
